London, 15th July 2026 — The Commonwealth Students’ Association has today announced the appointment of a new cohort of Campus Ambassadors, representing institutions across 33 Commonwealth countries, following a rigorous, multi-week selection process under the CSA Campus Ambassador Programme 2026/2027.
The appointments, ratified by the CSA Executive Committee, follow an open call that drew over a thousand applications from students across the Commonwealth. Each application was carefully reviewed for demonstrated experience in grassroots mobilisation, a genuine passion for student advocacy, and a track record of student leadership; with one Campus Ambassador selected to represent each participating institution.
The newly appointed Ambassadors span a remarkable breadth of the Commonwealth student experience: from medicine and engineering to law, public health, agriculture, architecture, and the humanities; and will serve as the CSA’s frontline representatives on their respective campuses for the 2026/2027 term, which runs from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027.

Commenting on the appointments, Francis Azubuike, AIoL, President of the Commonwealth Students’ Association, extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Ambassadors:
On behalf of the Commonwealth Students’ Association Executive Committee, I extend my warmest congratulations to each student who has been appointed as a Campus Ambassador for the 2026/2027 term. You were not simply selected, you were entrusted. Out of an exceptional pool of applicants from across our Commonwealth family, our Selection Committee saw in you the mobilisation experience, the advocacy spirit, and the leadership grounding that this role demands.
That trust is now yours to justify; not through words, but through the quality of your service. I encourage each of you to see this appointment not as an honour to be worn, but as a responsibility to be lived out daily on your campuses. Take seriously the confidence the Selection Committee has placed in you. Let it sharpen your resolve, not simply flatter your title.
More than anything, I urge you to see this role for what it truly is: an opportunity to add value: to your fellow students who will look to you for representation and support, and to your campus communities, which stand to benefit from the energy, ideas, and advocacy you bring. Wherever you study, whatever your discipline, you are now a bridge between your peers and a Commonwealth-wide movement of over 45 National Student Organisations across 56 nations. Carry that bridge well.

About the Programme
The Campus Ambassador Programme is a cornerstone of the CSA’s mission to strengthen grassroots engagement between the Association and students across the Commonwealth. Ambassadors serve as the CSA’s institutional representatives, championing student advocacy, supporting recruitment and outreach, and acting as a vital link between their local student communities and the CSA’s broader Commonwealth-wide governance and policy work.
The role is voluntary and non-remunerated, reflecting the spirit of service that underpins the CSA’s mission.
The newly appointed Ambassadors join students already representing institutions in Australia, Bangladesh, Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Eswatini, Fiji, The Gambia, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, the United Kingdom, and Zambia.
All conditions set out in the Programme’s Terms of Reference apply to the newly appointed Ambassadors for the duration of their term.
