The Communications Unit of the Commonwealth Students’ Association is responsible for managing the Association’s public engagement, media relations, and strategic communications across the Commonwealth. Through storytelling, digital engagement, publications, and media outreach, the Unit works to amplify student voices, promote the activities and values of the Association, and strengthen the visibility and impact of the CSA on the global stage.

Deepshikha Jana

Head of Media and Content Strategy

Deepshikha Jana is a forensic science postgraduate student at National Forensic Sciences University, specializing in forensic chemistry and toxicology, with an extensive portfolio in leadership, communication, and creative strategy. An orator, communicator and youth leader with a proven record of driving high-impact branding, media, and outreach initiatives, she has led major creative and marketing verticals, served at position of power at multiple national events, college societies, delivering large-scale campaigns, end-to-end visual narratives, and high-engagement digital strategies.

Her leadership extends across national and global platforms: she represented Delhi at the National Youth Festival under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, secured top positions at innovation and case-study competitions, and has worked with international teams through AIESEC, leading cross-cultural promotional and social impact projects.

As an active voice in youth policy spaces, Deepshikha brings a strong blend of creative direction, branding expertise, and global youth engagement.

Now joining the Commonwealth Students’ Association as Head of Media & Content Strategy, she aims to craft powerful narratives, strengthen youth visibility across 56 nations, and elevate the organisation’s global communication footprint.

Nancy Foli

Deputy Head, Media and Content Strategy

Nancy Mawuenam Foli serves as the Deputy Head for Media and Content Strategy at the Commonwealth Students’ Association. Combining a structural approach to design with a passion for digital storytelling, she brings a unique, strategic perspective to global student engagement. Currently a Master of Architecture candidate at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Nancy applies architectural design thinking to craft impactful, accessible media campaigns.

She brings strong leadership experience to the CSA currently serving as the Digital Media Expert and Communications Director for UNSA-KNUST, where she spearheads digital content and branding initiatives. She is dedicated to leveraging creative media to foster inclusive, barrier-free communication. In her new role, she is focused on driving a cohesive creative vision for the team, elevating the CSA’s visual branding, streamlining content production, and building dynamic digital frameworks that amplify diverse student voices across the Commonwealth.
