The Commonwealth Students’ Association partnered with youth-led organisations for the Climate x Women event held during the Delhi Climate Innovation Week 2026, an initiative aimed at advancing conversations on gender-responsive climate innovation.

The event, hosted by Break The Ice and the ECB Sustainable Youth Foundation in collaboration with several youth partners, brought together young leaders, climate advocates, and innovators to explore the intersection of gender, climate action, and youth leadership.

Representing the Commonwealth Students’ Association, Asia Regional Representative Palakh Khanna served as co-host of the event, guiding conversations that examined the realities and solutions surrounding gender-responsive climate innovation. The dialogue created space for participants to reflect on lived experiences while exploring how youth-driven initiatives can contribute to more inclusive and effective climate solutions.

The programme featured a series of interactive and reflective segments, including a keynote address, participatory activities, storytelling sessions, and group discussions. Through these engagements, participants shared personal stories and insights on climate resilience, gender equity, and leadership in climate action spaces.

A highlight of the event was a guest speaker conversation with Parneet Kaur, a climate poet and sustainability advocate who reflected on her journey at the intersection of gender and climate advocacy. Drawing from her experiences as a young global voice in the climate movement, she encouraged participants to continue using creativity, storytelling, and community engagement as powerful tools for climate action.

The dialogue underscored the importance of centring youth voices—particularly those of young women—in shaping climate solutions that are both equitable and sustainable. Participants also identified emerging insights and collaborative opportunities that could strengthen youth-led climate innovation across communities.

Through its participation in the Climate x Women event, the Commonwealth Students’ Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth-led initiatives that advance climate justice, gender equality, and sustainable development across the Commonwealth and beyond.
